Slave Chains is a name that symbolizes the struggle for liberation from any form of slavery, whether physical, social, emotional, or mental. It represents a critique of power structures, ideologies, and systems that oppress, limit, or condition people. Furthermore, it reflects resistance against internal chains, such as fears, insecurities, or traumas, highlighting the need to overcome them to achieve individual and collective freedom.
Slave Chains is a metalcore band from Medellín, Colombia, founded in 2020 with the purpose of expressing social criticism through a sound influenced by Nu Metal and Groove Metal. Over time, the project evolved toward a heavier and more aggressive direction, incorporating vocal techniques such as growls and screams alongside a more structured and forceful instrumental approach aligned with metalcore. Following several lineup changes, the band consolidated a sound focused on innovation and thematic depth, exploring human experiences from both internal and external perspectives to connect with a broad audience.
